Stress, Learning, and the Importance of Relationships

The future of any society depends on its ability to foster the healthy development of its youth.

This can be derailed by excessive or prolonged activation of stress response systems; adversely affecting learning, behavior, and health. However, these negative effects are diminished when youth have supportive relationships with adults.

In this session, we will discuss creating that supportive relationship with your students. It starts with us! Come ready to discuss the coping skills adults can develop for their own stress response.
